Imagine entering a classroom where plain whitewashed walls stare at you? Would you like it? Certainly not will be your answer if you are a teacher or a student.
For a class mentor at QMIS, her classroom is a prized possession just as the living room in her home. S/He cares for every minute detail to make it welcoming and thought provoking for her kids spending two-third of the day there. Q’s classrooms from Pre-KG through Grade 12 are lively, thanks to mentors who bring them alive by unleashing their creativity. There are some must-haves. Saint-poet Tiruvalluvar, who gifted to the world Tirukkural, the universal treatise, being our godly figure, his portrait in pencil sketch beams in every classroom. Charts for birthdays and stars of the month, a big board flaunting impressive write-ups from the prescribed texts in each subject and school’s vision, mission and philosophy and core values find place in every classroom, but according to the creative capability and personal taste and liking of the respective mentor.
The result is thematic classrooms in myriad colours that contribute to keeping children fresh and energetic all through the day. The decor for the primary classes are based on adventure, camping space, travel, Disneyland and flora among others.
Here, we bring to your eyes the insides of some of our classrooms, as they look now, in the form of a video and pictures to flabbergast you.
