Assessment Program

Assessment is an integral part of the teaching and learning process and is a tool which aids our planning for learning. At QMIS, we track children’s achievement, attitude and progress closely. The school also extends the scope of assessment beyond academics to ensure comprehensive development of students.Through assessments, children can personalise their learning to achieve their potential.

The child is admitted after an entry level assessment and his/her progress is observed and assessed on a periodical basis. ‘Star of the Month’, an informal assessment, focusses on the holistic performance of the child. Based on the report of the anecdotal records, the child is assessed.

International Dimension

QMIS always sets a higher benchmark for continuous progression. One such benchmarking scheme is the British Council’s International Dimension in Schools. It accredits schools that have an outstanding level of support for nurturing global citizenship in young people and enriching teaching and learning. It recognizes and celebrates exemplary practice of internationalism in schools. Our school is connected to various international activities. It centers on the recognition of various people, cultures and their environment which are inextricably woven and interdependent. This creates a positive impact on teachers, students and the school as a whole. These activities includes exchange of ideas on topics and collaboration with the different countries to understand their countries’ nuances. Our school collaborated with international partner schools in countries like Brazil, France, UAE, UK and Sri Lanka. We are the proud recipient of British council’s International School Award for 2018 – 2021,2022 -2025.
